Lina Inverse is a teenage sorceress who lives for treasure, food, and showing people exactly how outmatched they are. When good-natured dimwit Gourry Gabriev tries to rescue her from bandits — a rescue she did not need — the two end up traveling together toward Atlas City. What starts as an accidental partnership turns into something larger: the trinket they're carrying turns out to be a seal on a great demon's power, and two shadowy figures are closing in fast.
