Blade (Season 1)

Blade (ブレイド, 2011) is a Japanese animated series you can watch online on iFILM, produced by Madhouse as part of the Marvel Anime collaboration. Twelve episodes follow the half-human, half-vampire hunter as he tracks his mother's killer across Southeast Asia and Japan.

Deacon Frost, the vampire who murdered Blade's mother, has built a clandestine organisation called Existence in the region — a network of vampires upgraded under his direction. Blade moves through Japan dismantling that network from the outside while hunting Frost at the centre of it. The action is relentless and the tone stays dark throughout.

Madhouse produced all four Marvel Anime titles — X-Men, Iron Man, Wolverine, and Blade — and this entry shares the same sharp visual style and compressed storytelling. Viewers expecting a direct continuation of the Wesley Snipes film tone will find something distinctly different here: leaner, more stylised, built for an audience comfortable with anime pacing.
