Asa Butterfield plays Calvin; Maisie Williams plays Skye, the girl who makes him bungee jump, lie, and finally live a little. It isn't romance in the usual sense but a prickly, healing friendship. Nina Dobrev, Ken Jeong and Tituss Burgess fill out the cast.

The film keeps one foot in laughter and one in heartbreak without tipping into syrup. Skye carries a bit of Arya from Game of Thrones — same stubborn wit, no sword this time.
