Synopsis
Some Kind of Wonderful (1987) is a teen romantic drama directed by Howard Deutch from a John Hughes script — watch it online on iFILM. Keith Nelson (Eric Stoltz) is a high school outsider with paint-stained hands and one goal: get a date with the most popular girl in school, Amanda Jones (Lea Thompson).
His best friend Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson) plays drums, fixes cars, and agrees to coach him through the whole impossible plan — what to say, how to kiss. She drills him like a sparring partner. She doesn't mention that watching him chase someone else is tearing her apart. Meanwhile Amanda's ex, the wealthy Hardy Jenns (Craig Sheffer), is engineering a very public humiliation for Keith.
