Synopsis

Three million dollars in gold bars vanish from Cairo, and the only man in the criminal world with the nerve to run the smuggling operation is already a fugitive. His solution: pose as a visionary film director, set up a fake production on the Italian coast, and convince an entire town to participate as extras. Victor Mature appears as a fading Hollywood star so desperate for a comeback he'll sign on to anything — a role that tips into brilliant self-parody.
