Synopsis
Fatima (2020) is a drama directed by Marco Pontecorvo that you can watch online on iFILM. The film is set in 1917 Portugal, where a ten-year-old girl named Lúcia and her two younger cousins begin reporting repeated visions of a woman they believe to be the Virgin Mary — who tells them that prayer and suffering will end the war tearing Europe apart.
Civil authorities and church officials push back hard, pressing the children to recant and threatening worse if they refuse. Word spreads anyway. Tens of thousands of pilgrims start arriving at the parish of Fátima, some seeking a miracle, some hoping to expose a fraud. Harvey Keitel, Sonia Braga, and Goran Visnjic play the adults caught between institutional skepticism and something they cannot fully explain.
