Synopsis

National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) is a road-trip comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Harold Ramis. Clark Griswold dreams of the perfect family holiday and hauls his wife and two kids across the country to the Walley World theme park. The drive runs nearly 2,460 miles. Naturally, everything that can go wrong does.

Chevy Chase stars as the dad whose forced cheer survives one disaster after another. Beverly D'Angelo plays his patient wife Ellen, with Anthony Michael Hall and Dana Barron as the kids who slowly lose faith in the trip. Along the way the Griswolds get stuck with a clunky station wagon instead of the car they ordered, a difficult aunt riding along, and a blonde in a Ferrari that keeps catching Clark's eye. Every pit stop turns the dream getaway into fresh chaos.

John Hughes wrote the script from his own short story, and the film launched a long run of Griswold misadventures. This 1983 comedy has been quoted for decades, and the tagline put it plainly: this year Clark went too far. Stream National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) online on iFILM.
