Synopsis

Copper (2012) is a BBC America historical crime series you can watch online on iFILM. Tom Weston-Jones plays Kevin Corcoran, a tough Irish immigrant working as a detective in New York's Five Points — a neighborhood where Civil War poverty and street violence collide daily. Directors Kari Skogland and Deborah Chow helm episodes set deep in the chaos of 1860s Manhattan.

Corcoran tackles murders, vice rings, and the brutal inequalities of a city still reeling from war — while quietly searching for his missing wife and the truth behind his daughter's death. Anastasia Griffith and Franka Potente round out a cast that keeps the moral landscape genuinely murky. Nobody here is entirely clean.

What sets Copper apart is its refusal to romanticize the period. The Five Points is loud, filthy, and dangerous — and the show doesn't flinch. Stream Copper online on iFILM for a crime drama that treats the 19th century as a brutal place rather than a picturesque backdrop.
