Synopsis
New Year's Eve (2011) is Garry Marshall's romantic comedy, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Over one night in New York, a dozen strangers drift toward the same countdown in Times Square.
The film juggles a stack of small stories. The producer behind the big televised ball drop (Hilary Swank) has to fix a stalled crystal sphere. A buttoned-up secretary (Michelle Pfeiffer) pays a courier (Zac Efron) to help her tick off a year's worth of unkept resolutions. In a hospital room, an old man played by Robert De Niro waits out what may be his final midnight. Two prickly strangers get stuck in an elevator while the city counts down. The ensemble runs deep: Sarah Jessica Parker, Ashton Kutcher, Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Josh Duhamel.
