The Eyes of Tammy Faye

The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021) is a biographical drama you can watch online on iFILM. It traces televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, who climbed from a poor Midwestern childhood to the top of Christian broadcasting alongside her husband Jim — and then watched it all come apart.

From the mid-1970s onward, the couple ran their own religious show and turned it into a money-spinning empire. What followed was a string of scandals, fraud allegations and rivals circling for the kill. Jessica Chastain plays Tammy with her trademark false lashes and stubborn cheer; Andrew Garfield stars opposite her as Jim.

Michael Showalter directs, drawing on a 1980s documentary of the same name. Chastain took the Academy Award for Best Actress for the part, and the makeup team won its own Oscar for transforming her.
