The Truman Show

Ed Harris is Christof, the show's creator, watching from a control room above the clouds, genuinely convinced he has given Truman the best possible life.

Andrew Niccol wrote the screenplay several years before the first reality TV boom and a decade before social media normalized the idea of living on camera. The film earned three Academy Award nominations, and Harris won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor.
