Synopsis

Project Almanac (2015) is a found-footage sci-fi thriller about time travel you can watch online on iFILM. Dean Israelite's debut feature is shot entirely through the characters' own cameras, so every jump through time is captured by the kids living it.

Gifted high schooler David rewatches a tape from his seventh birthday and spots his present-day self reflected in the frame. In the attic he finds his late father's blueprints for an unfinished time machine. With his sister and a couple of friends, he completes the device and makes the first leap. At first it's a game: feeding themselves exam answers, settling scores with a bully, hitting the lottery, landing front-row at a festival next to a girl named Jessie. But every change ripples forward, and the harmless fun curdles into something they can no longer control.

The film plays the genre straight, leaning into paradoxes, the butterfly effect and the cost of every mistake they try to undo. It stars Jonny Weston, Sofia Black-D'Elia and Virginia Gardner. Stream Project Almanac (2015) online on iFILM.
