Synopsis
The Uninvited (2009) is an American horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Directors Charles and Thomas Guard reimagine a Korean original, moving the story to a quiet house by the water where Anna's family lives. She comes back from a psychiatric clinic after her mother's death and finds a stranger at her father's side.
That stranger is Rachel, the late mother's former nurse, played by Elizabeth Banks with a smile that never quite reaches her eyes. Anna (Emily Browning) doesn't buy it. With her older sister Alex (Arielle Kebbel), she digs into the fire that killed their mother, and her nights fill with visions pointing the way. The closer the truth gets, the harder it becomes to trust Anna's own version of it.
David Strathairn rounds out the cast as the father, and the last ten minutes rearrange everything you thought you understood. At a lean 87 minutes, the movie leans on dread rather than gore. Watch The Uninvited (2009) online on iFILM.
