Synopsis

Anything Else (2003) is Woody Allen's romantic tragicomedy, and you can watch it online on iFILM. A young New York writer named Jerry Falk falls for Amanda at first sight, then slowly realizes what he has signed up for.

Jerry (Jason Biggs) churns out jokes for a living while dreaming of a real novel, his life one long mess of indecision. Amanda (Christina Ricci) is bright, well-read and impossible to predict: one week a new diet, the next her mother moving into the apartment, then a sudden cooling toward him. The only person keeping Jerry afloat is David Dobel, a sour schoolteacher played by Allen himself, whose advice swings between hard-won wisdom and pure paranoia.

This is late Manhattan Allen, all neurotics and bad relationship math. Look for Stockard Channing, Danny DeVito and a young Jimmy Fallon in supporting roles. The film is often read as the director's bid to hand his voice to a younger cast. Stream Anything Else (2003) online on iFILM.
