About

Synopsis

Fright Night (1985) is Tom Holland's horror comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Teenager Charley Brewster is convinced a vampire just moved in next door.

Charley (William Ragsdale) stays up late on monster movies, then watches one creep into his own street. His new neighbor, Jerry Dandrige (Chris Sarandon), is charming, handsome and far too comfortable around fresh graves. Nobody buys the story — not his mom, not his girlfriend Amy, not the cops. So Charley begs help from the one man who might know the rules: Peter Vincent (Roddy McDowall), a washed-up actor who spent his career playing vampire hunters in cheap films and now hosts a late-night horror show called Fright Night.

The catch is simple. A rubber stake works fine on a soundstage; it does much less against real fangs. Holland turned the setup into a sly, funny love letter to the genre, where the kid in danger knows the lore better than anyone around him. Backed by Stephen Geoffreys as the unhinged Evil Ed, the film became a 1980s cult favorite and spawned a sequel and a remake. Stream Fright Night (1985) online on iFILM.
