Renegade

Blueberry (2004) — also released as Renegade — is a French Western directed by Jan Kounen that you can watch online on iFILM. The film adapts the long-running French comic series by Jean-Michel Charlier and Jean Giraud (Moebius), first published in 1963.

Vincent Cassel plays Sheriff Mike Blueberry, who keeps an uneasy peace between settlers and the Chiricahua Apache near the Mexican border. When a man from his past — the outlaw Blunt, played by Michael Madsen — arrives hunting for gold hidden in Native sacred lands, old scores and older spirits collide. Juliette Lewis, Jimon Hounsou, and Ernest Borgnine round out the cast. Kounen pushes the genre into hallucinatory territory: shamanic visions and suppressed memory become as central as the gunfights.
