About

Synopsis

Arizona Dream (1993) is Emir Kusturica's surreal tragicomedy, and you can watch online on iFILM. Axel, a young dreamer who counts fish off the New York coast and dreams of Alaska, gets dragged into the desert when his cousin talks him into attending their uncle's wedding.

Axel (Johnny Depp) lands at the Cadillac dealership of Uncle Leo (Jerry Lewis), who wants the boy as a best man and a salesman. Instead Axel falls for Elaine (Faye Dunaway), a restless widow obsessed with flying machines, and tangles with her stepdaughter Grace (Lily Taylor), who longs to come back as a turtle. Everyone here chases an impossible dream, and those dreams pull the characters toward the edge.

The Bosnian director shot his first American feature in France, with a score by his frequent collaborator Goran Bregovic, whose song "This Is a Film" lingers long after. The picture won the Silver Bear at Berlin. Vincent Gallo and Michael J. Pollard fill out the cast. Stream Arizona Dream (1993) online on iFILM.
