Synopsis
Welcome to Smelliville (The Ogglies, 2021) is a German-Belgian animated family film co-directed by Jens Møller and Tobi Genkel — watch it online on iFILM. The Oggly family arrives in the small town of Smelliville on the back of Firebottom, their large green dragon, and crashes straight onto the local rubbish tip. The townspeople are not exactly thrilled. The Ogglies smell, they look unusual, and no one is rushing to make them feel at home.
Only a young inventor named Max and his friend Lottie treat the newcomers like neighbours rather than a problem to be moved along. When a real danger threatens Smelliville, it turns out the Oggly family is the only one who can stop it — if the town figures that out before chasing them away. A cheerful film about being different without apologising for it, running 85 minutes and pitched so that small children follow the adventure while adults do not check their watches.
