Synopsis
Watch The Institute (2025) online on iFILM — a dark sci-fi thriller adapted from Stephen King's 2019 novel. Directed by Jack Bender, known for his work on Lost, the series follows fourteen-year-old prodigy Luke Ellis, who wakes up in an unknown facility after being snatched from his bedroom in the middle of the night.
The place is called The Institute. It is filled with kids who all share one thing: they were taken the same way Luke was, and every one of them has an unusual ability — telepathy, telekinesis, something that should not exist. Across town, a troubled ex-cop named Tim Jamieson arrives looking for a quiet new start. He will not find one. Ben Barnes and Mary-Louise Parker lead the cast in the roles that pull both storylines toward each other.
