Synopsis

After.Life (2009) is Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo's psychological horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. After a violent car crash, schoolteacher Anna wakes on a mortician's table and is told, calmly, that she is dead.

Christina Ricci plays Anna; Liam Neeson is Eliot Deacon, the funeral director who claims he can speak with the deceased and ease them toward the grave. Anna refuses to believe her heart has stopped. She screams, she bargains, she grabs at any proof she's still breathing, while Deacon insists her terror of dying is the real sickness he's there to cure. Outside the parlor, her boyfriend Paul (Justin Long) senses something is badly wrong and claws his way toward the body laid out for burial.

The film keeps you guessing on one cruel question: is Anna truly gone, or being buried alive? Sterile morgue light, a red slip against pale skin, a quiet boy who sees what adults can't. Wojtowicz-Vosloo's debut turns a single cold room into an argument about whether any of us are really living. Stream After.Life (2009) online on iFILM.
