Synopsis
The Sea Chase (1955) is a wartime adventure drama you can watch online on iFILM. September 1939, Sydney Harbour. Ehrlich is German but no true believer in the regime. He steers the Ergenstrasse out of port before the British can intern it and sets a course for home. A Royal Navy ship gives chase. On board, his fanatical first officer Kirchner keeps making things worse, and Elsa — carrying secrets the British would very much like to intercept — complicates everything further.
Director John Farrow keeps the action grounded in character: Wayne's Ehrlich is a man trying to hold a crew together across thousands of miles of open ocean, not a war hero.
