Synopsis
The Brave Little Toaster (1987) is an American animated film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jerry Rees and based on Thomas M. Disch's novella. Five household appliances — Toaster, Kirby the vacuum, Radio, Lampy and the electric blanket Blanky — set off across an unfamiliar world to find the boy they were left behind by.
The journey is longer and stranger than any of them planned. Toaster leads with stubborn confidence, Kirby hauls the group forward on sheer willpower, Radio fills the silences, Lampy lights the dark, and Blanky just wants to be carried. Voice cast includes Deanna Oliver, Jon Lovitz, and Phil Hartman. A junkyard, a thunderstorm, and appliances who've given up on ever being wanted again — the film doesn't hide that some of these images run dark for a children's movie.
