Synopsis

Brooke Shields stars as Jade, a teenager from a privileged Chicago family, and Martin Hewitt plays David, the boy whose feelings for her grow into something her father cannot tolerate.
Jade's parents ban David from the house for thirty days. That's all it takes. His obsession tips into desperation, and one reckless act sets off a chain of damage that reaches both families. Shirley Knight and Don Murray play Jade's parents; Richard Kiley appears as David's father. Early in their careers, James Spader and Tom Cruise each appear in brief supporting roles.
