Louis de Pointe du Lac is a prosperous Black businessman in early-20th-century New Orleans. His encounter with the charismatic vampire Lestat de Lioncourt rewrites everything. Lestat turns Louis, offers eternity — and with it, an unrelenting hunger and a bond that suffocates as much as it sustains. The arrival of the young vampire Claudia fractures their arrangement and sets off a chain of events that spans a hundred years. In the present day, an aging journalist named Daniel Molloy sits across from Louis to record an interview that reframes the entire story.

Showrunner Rolin Jones reimagined Rice's source material by recasting Louis as a Black man, weaving themes of race, power and sexuality through the Jim Crow South. Season one aired in 2022, season two followed in 2024. Stream Interview with the Vampire online on iFILM.
