Synopsis

Fathers' Day (1997) is a Hollywood comedy directed by Ivan Reitman — watch it online on iFILM. Robin Williams and Billy Crystal lead a film built on one spectacularly bad idea: telling two different men they're both the father of the same runaway teenager.

The woman behind the scheme, played by Nastassja Kinski, sends her two ex-boyfriends scrambling across town on a search they know nothing about. Jack is a high-strung lawyer. Dale is a scruffy artist. Neither has ever met the kid. Both are suddenly convinced they have a fatherly duty to find him. Julia Louis-Dreyfus rounds out the cast as Jack's increasingly exasperated wife.

Ivan Reitman had a knack for pairing comic talent — Ghostbusters, Twins — and here he lets Williams improvise against Crystal's deadpan reactions to solid effect. A fast, unpretentious family comedy from the mid-nineties. Stream Fathers' Day (1997) online on iFILM.
