Synopsis
Operation Finale (2018) is Chris Weitz's historical thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Fifteen years after the war, a Mossad team flies to Argentina after a man living under a false name near Buenos Aires: Adolf Eichmann, one of the men who engineered the logistics of the Holocaust.
Grabbing him isn't the hard part. They have to get him out of the country alive and put him on trial in Israel. The agents stash their prisoner in a safe house and wait for a flight, while Eichmann studies his guards and works on the one man who actually talks to him, agent Peter Malkin. Those locked-room conversations are the film's spine: a mass murderer who looks like a tired old man, which somehow makes it worse. Oscar Isaac plays Malkin, Ben Kingsley plays Eichmann, with Mélanie Laurent and Nick Kroll alongside them.
