Picking up moments after the first film, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and Michael (Scott Speedman) are hunted across a cold, rain-soaked landscape. Marcus, the first true vampire, wakes with wings and a single goal: free his caged brother William, the original werewolf. To stay alive, Selene has to dig through her own buried memories and learn what really happened to the family she lost as a child. Wiseman shot the sequel in the steel-blue palette that became the saga's signature, leaning on practical animatronics rather than pure CGI for its creatures. This is the second chapter of a long-running vampires-versus-Lycans mythology, where Selene's private revenge turns into a war over both species' lineage.
