Synopsis
Moss (이끼, 2010) is a South Korean mystery thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Kang Woo-suk and running 162 minutes, it's adapted from a popular webtoon about a village that answers to no one but itself.
Ryu Hae-guk travels to a remote settlement to bury a father he barely knew. The locals are welcoming — the kind of welcoming that feels rehearsed. The village elder, a retired detective, presides over a tight-knit community that seems very eager for Ryu to leave. He's the kind of man who once torpedoed a prosecutor's career through sheer stubbornness. He stays. Stars Park Hae-il and Jung Jae-young.
Korean cinema has a long tradition of finding menace in quiet places, and Moss earns its length. The dread accumulates slowly, layer by layer, until the full shape of what happened to his father comes into view. Watch Moss (2010) online on iFILM.
