About

Synopsis

Bait (2000) is a crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Antoine Fuqua three years before he made Training Day. Jamie Foxx leads as small-time crook Alvin Sanders — arrested for stealing shrimp from a restaurant.

In jail, Alvin shares a cell with Jaster, half of the duo that lifted forty-two million dollars in gold from the US Treasury. Jaster's partner shot the guards, left him to die, and hid the bullion. Before dying, Jaster whispers a coded clue to Alvin. Treasury investigator Clenteen (David Morse) sees an opportunity: release the oblivious Alvin and use him as live bait to draw out the killer still at large.

The film runs on Foxx's energy — his Alvin is a wisecracking coward who stumbles through a federal sting without ever fully grasping what's happening around him. David Morse plays the ice-cold handler and Doug Hutchison the relentless hitman. Stream Bait (2000) on iFILM.
