Hope

Hope (소원, 2013) is a South Korean drama you can watch online on iFILM. Sul Kyung-gu and Uhm Ji-won lead the cast as the parents of eight-year-old So-won.

A rainy school morning. So-won walks out the door. Hours later, her father Dong-hoon gets a call from police — his daughter is in critical condition after a brutal assault. The family does not collapse in one dramatic scene. It comes apart quietly: the mother Mi-hee holds herself together until she can't, the father swings between grief and a rage he cannot act on, and So-won, played by Lee Re, has to relearn what it means to feel safe. Each tiny step forward costs the whole family something.
