Carmen Cortez is trapped inside a virtual world built by a new villain, the Toymaker (Sylvester Stallone). To pull his sister out, Juni has to enter the game himself and beat it level by level. The platforms crumble, the enemies keep multiplying, and by the final stage the prize isn't a high score but the real world outside the screen. The whole Cortez clan jumps in to help, grandfather and his wheelchair included.

This third chapter was shot for red-and-blue 3D glasses, which explains the candy-colored look of its gamer universe. The cast is a deep bench: Alexa PenaVega, Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, with Elijah Wood and Ricardo Montalban turning up in supporting roles. An easy, popcorn pick for a family movie night.
