Synopsis
The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014) is a found-footage horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Adam Robitel. What begins as a documentary crew filming the progression of Alzheimer's in an elderly woman quickly turns into something far harder to explain.
Deborah (Jill Larson) lives with her daughter Sarah (Anne Ramsay), who has put her life on hold to care for her mother. The cameras catch it all — the confusion, the outbursts, the sleepless nights. But the footage starts showing things no medical textbook covers. Deborah's behavior crosses a line that dementia alone can't account for, and fragments of her past surface that point toward something old and deeply wrong.
Shot on a shoestring with near-zero CGI, the film builds dread through restraint. It works because Larson's performance is genuinely unsettling — not theatrical, just wrong in the quietest, most effective way. Stream The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014) online on iFILM.
