Stockholm

Stockholm (2019) is a crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Robert Budreau. It's built around real events from the summer of 1973: an armed robber held four bank employees in Stockholm's Kreditbanken for six days — and by the end, the hostages were defending him to the police.

Ethan Hawke plays Lars Nystrom, the gunman who storms in demanding the release of a jailed friend. Noomi Rapace is Birgit, a bank clerk whose reaction to captivity turns out to be the strangest thing in the room. Mark Strong plays the police negotiator who refuses to budge on anything. The standoff generated a psychological phenomenon that psychiatrists documented, named and have studied ever since.
