The Outfit

The Outfit (1973) is an American crime thriller directed by John Flynn that you can watch online on iFILM. Robert Duvall plays Earl Macklin, a small-time crook walking out of prison to find his brother has been shot dead.

The reason: the bank Macklin robbed belonged to the mob. They ordered the hit as a message. Macklin's response is methodical. He and his partner Cody — played by Joe Don Baker — start hitting mob operations one by one, bleeding them dry, until the organisation decides it's cheaper to pay up than to keep fighting. Robert Ryan plays the syndicate boss caught in the middle.
