Synopsis
Circus World (1964) is an American adventure drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Henry Hathaway and produced by Samuel Bronston. Circus owner Matt Masters (John Wayne) is taking his troupe on a European tour, fighting fires — literal and figurative — as the journey falls apart around him. The practical disasters he can handle. What proves harder is the personal tangle waiting at the end of the road: his adopted daughter has grown up and taken to the ring herself, and her mother (Rita Hayworth), an aerialist everyone assumed was dead, resurfaces in Matt's life. Claudia Cardinale plays the young rider at the centre of the emotional bind, and the three-way dynamic gives the film something to hold onto between the set pieces.
