The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years
The band you know. The story you don't.
Synopsis
The Beatles: Eight Days a Week — The Touring Years (2016) is Ron Howard's documentary you can watch online on iFILM. The film charts the band's concert career from their early club shows to the final night at Candlestick Park in August 1966, when Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr walked offstage for the last time and never played live together again.
Howard and his team restored hours of archival footage that had been sitting in vaults for decades, including full concert films shot in pristine condition. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr speak on camera about what it actually felt like to perform in venues where the crowd noise drowned out every guitar chord. Whoopi Goldberg, Elvis Costello and Sigourney Weaver appear alongside music critics and journalists who covered the tours firsthand. The film traces how the relentless pace — city after city, country after country, year after year — pushed the group toward a decision that redirected pop music entirely.
Produced by Apple Corps and Imagine Entertainment, the film was released theatrically and then expanded with bonus concert footage. Stream The Beatles: Eight Days a Week (2016) online on iFILM.
