The Ghost Writer

The Ghost Writer (2010) is Roman Polanski's political thriller, free to watch online on iFILM. A nameless writer agrees to finish a former British prime minister's memoirs, then realizes what he has walked into.

Ewan McGregor plays the hired ghost brought in after his predecessor drowned days before the manuscript was due. The job traps him in a cold, glass-walled house on a wind-battered island, polishing the words of Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan). The closer he reads, the clearer it becomes that the previous writer found something worth killing for. Around him circle Lang's wife (Olivia Williams), his sharp assistant (Kim Cattrall), and very polite people who know far too much.
