Synopsis
Venus in Fur (La Vénus à la fourrure, 2013) is a Roman Polanski drama you can watch online on iFILM. It's late, the Paris theater is empty, and director Thomas has given up on casting his lead. Then a soaked, frazzled actress named Vanda barges through the door, hours late.
She's loud, crude, and seems all wrong for the part. Yet the moment she starts reading, the chaotic latecomer becomes the perfect heroine of his play, adapted from Sacher-Masoch's novel. The audition stretches on. Power slips back and forth between them until it's hard to say who is really directing whom. The whole film rides on two performers, Emmanuelle Seigner and Mathieu Amalric.
