Synopsis

Years after losing their young daughter, a doll maker and his wife open their large farmhouse to a nun and six girls from a shuttered orphanage. At first the quiet ranch feels like a rescue for the orphans. Then a locked bedroom door turns out to be hiding something that never sleeps. Janice, slowed by a leg brace from polio, is the first to hear footsteps in the hall and to grasp that the doll called Annabelle wants anything but friendship. The cast includes Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto.
