Synopsis
How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966) is Chuck Jones's animated short you can watch online on iFILM. A green grouch on the hill above Whoville hates the holiday so much he sets out to steal the whole thing, down to the last toy.
The Grinch shares a mountain cave with his dog Max, and every December the cheerful Whos grate on him a little more. They sing, they swap gifts, they pile their tables high. So he hatches a plan: dress up as Santa, strap an antler onto Max, and slip through every house to haul off the presents, the food and the decorations. But Christmas morning in Whoville turns out nothing like he expected.
Adapted from the Dr. Seuss book, the special was directed by Chuck Jones of Bugs Bunny fame. Boris Karloff supplies both the narration and the Grinch's sly menace, while Thurl Ravenscroft sings the now-famous "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch."
