Firebase (2017) is a sci-fi military short you can watch online on iFILM. Neill Blomkamp directed this 27-minute Oats Studios experiment — a Vietnam War story that stops being a war story about halfway through.

Sergeant Hines is the only man left from his unit. Something moved through the jungle and took everyone else. The locals call it the River God. Hines calls it a target. The film follows him deeper into a web of violence and impossible phenomena, where the line between enemy combatant and something else entirely dissolves fast.
