Theodore Rex

Theodore Rex (1995) is an American sci-fi family comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jonathan R. Betuel and starring Whoopi Goldberg alongside a cookie-loving talking dinosaur detective. Set in a future where humans and prehistoric creatures share the same cities, the film follows hard-edged detective Katie Croft, who is forced into a partnership she wants nothing to do with.

Her new partner, Teddy Rex, is cheerful, well-meaning and absolutely committed to the job — when he's not distracted by snacks. Together they investigate a string of murders targeting dinosaurs and other ancient animals, tracing the killings back to a scientist who wants to trigger a new global extinction. Armin Mueller-Stahl and Carol Kane round out the cast.

Theodore Rex reached theatres only after a prolonged legal battle — Whoopi Goldberg tried to exit the project and lost. That backstory became part of the film's notoriety.
