Synopsis
Into the Forest (2016) is a post-apocalyptic drama you can watch online on iFILM. Sisters Nell and Eva live with their father in a smart house deep in the woods when the power goes out across the country — and stays out.
At first it feels temporary. But the electricity never comes back, store shelves empty, and the outside world goes quiet. The two young women are left on their own, short on fuel, medicine, and any reliable news. They have to relearn the basics: foraging, lighting a fire, keeping strangers away from the house. Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood play sisters who clash in temperament but share the same forest.
The film was written and directed by Canada's Patricia Rozema, adapted from Jean Hegland's novel. It skips the spectacle of disaster and looks instead at what's left once civilization switches off: patience, resentment, kinship. A slow, quiet survival story.
