So Gamby and Russell do what rivals do when a common enemy appears: they form an alliance. What follows goes well past office politics — think arson, surveillance and sabotage executed with the particular confidence of men who have never once questioned their own judgment. McBride and co-creator Jody Hill planned the show as exactly two seasons from day one, a closed story with a real ending.
