About

Synopsis

Evil Under the Sun (1982) is an Agatha Christie whodunit you can watch online on iFILM, with Peter Ustinov playing Hercule Poirot at his wry, unhurried best. Director Guy Hamilton — known for several James Bond films — assembled a cast that includes James Mason, Maggie Smith, Diana Rigg, Jane Birkin, and Nicholas Clay.

Poirot arrives at an exclusive Adriatic island resort, ostensibly on holiday. He is not on holiday. Among the well-heeled guests sunning themselves on the rocks, he spots jealousy, old grudges, and stories that don't quite add up. When a glamorous stage actress is found strangled on the beach, nine suspects emerge — each with a clear motive, each with an airtight alibi. Even Poirot takes a moment to collect himself.

The film balances Christie's intricate puzzle with sharp wit and gorgeous location photography shot in Majorca. Stream Evil Under the Sun (1982) in full on iFILM.
