Synopsis
The Domestics (2018) is a post-apocalyptic thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Director Mike P. Nelson keeps the premise lean: society has collapsed, gang factions own the roads, and every stretch of the Midwest has a different set of rules for staying alive.
Kate Bosworth and Tyler Hoechlin play Nina and Mark, a married couple trying to cross the wasteland to reach her parents. Each faction they encounter has its own name, its own territory, its own way of killing. What makes the film work is the friction between the two leads — a marriage already fraying before the apocalypse, now pushed to the edge. Lance Reddick and David Dastmalchian turn up in supporting roles, both unsettling in different ways.
