Batman: Year One

Batman: Year One (2011) is an animated crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Bruce Wayne comes home to Gotham after years abroad, and on the same train rides a new lieutenant named James Gordon.

Two outsiders in a city rotten to the core. Wayne is still figuring out the cape, taking beatings on his first clumsy runs against street crime. Gordon, voiced by Bryan Cranston, tries to stay a clean cop while every colleague around him is on someone's payroll. Their paths cross as a young thief named Selina Kyle starts prowling the same rooftops. At a tight 64 minutes, the film never stalls.

It draws straight from the 1987 graphic novel by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli, one of the most respected origin stories ever told about the Dark Knight.
