Synopsis

Jason Scott Lee throws himself into the role so completely that the line between actor and legend blurs. The young Bruce arrives in America with almost nothing, opens his own kung-fu school, and immediately hits a wall — the old masters won't forgive him for teaching white students. Lauren Holly plays Linda, his wife, and it's her memoir the whole film is built on. Hollywood spots Lee, and a fast climb begins, one that ends far too soon.
Cohen threads a strange thread through the real history: a dark armored warrior who haunts Bruce from his nightmares his whole life. The fights are staged wide and physical, no digital tricks, just movement. Released two decades after Lee's death, it remains the warmest portrait of him ever filmed.
