Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979) is a sci-fi adventure series you can watch online on iFILM, starring Gil Gerard and Erin Gray. U.S. Air Force pilot Buck Rogers blasts off on a routine mission, hits an accident that locks his shuttle into deep space hibernation, and wakes up five centuries later above a planet still recovering from nuclear war.

Nobody in 2491 knows what to make of him. Colonel Wilma Deering greets him with suspicion — a perfectly preserved twentieth-century fighter jock is either a spy or something stranger. Buck turns out to be useful either way: he keeps his old combat instincts sharp enough to go up against threats the future's own soldiers cannot handle. His companions include the small robot Twiki, voiced by Mel Blanc, who was recording Bugs Bunny at the same time.

The NBC series ran on big budgets for its era and leaned hard into Saturday-night spectacle: bright costumes, fleet battles, exotic planets per episode.
