Synopsis
Murder She Said (1961) is a classic British mystery you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by George Pollock, it adapts Agatha Christie's novel with Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple — the amateur sleuth from St. Mary Mead who sees what everyone else overlooks.
Jane Marple watches from her train window as a man strangles a woman in a compartment of the passing express. By the time police search the carriages, there is no body and no evidence. Inspector Craddock, played by Arthur Kennedy, advises her to let it go. She does not let it go. Instead she takes a job as a cook at Ackenthorpe Hall, convinced the house is connected to whatever she saw on that train.
Rutherford played Miss Marple four times between 1961 and 1964, and this first entry set the tone: quick wit, total stubbornness, and a gift for turning a polite conversation into a confession. Stream Murder She Said (1961) online on iFILM.
